Berry Gordy founded his own record company with just $800 dollars and a dream to produce music that would unite a divided America to see beyond color, and social status, and shatter barriers all across the country. Motown records did exactly that and catapulted to stardom many artists who changed the soundtrack of American Music history. Witness the beginnings of Dianna Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson, and so many others.
