A groovy spring awaits Baltimore! Motown The Musical, the record breaking new musical from the Great White Way based on the life story of Motown founder Berry Gordy, is part of CareFirst Hippodrome Broadway Series’ exciting 2015-16 season. Opening on March 8, 2016, Motown The Musical takes center stage at The Hippodrome Theatre until March 13, 2016.

Motown The Musical chronicles Berry Gordy’s journey from being an aspiring featherweight boxer to becoming the heavyweight music mogul behind the creation of the Motown label. In Motown The Musical, get to know the people and the stories behind some of the greatest Motown hits and of the music that helped break down the barriers that divided America along racial lines. An entertaining and captivating show, Motown The Musical overflows with nonstop Motown music and spirited dance numbers. With book by Berry Gordy Jr, Motown The Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright.

Experience the American dream and celebrate the legendary Motown music as Motown The Musical plays The Hippodrome Theatre on March 8 to 11 (Tuesday to Friday) at 8 PM, on March 12 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on March 13 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. With an intermission for 15 minutes, Motown The Musical plays for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
