Winged monkeys are heading to Washington DC this spring! Wizard of Oz, the stunning Andrew Lloyd Webber production of the beloved theater classic, is part of Broadway at The National’s spectacular 2015/16 season. Opening on May 3, 2016, Wizard of Oz will be at The National Theatre for sixteen performances only until May 15, 2016.

This May, revisit the enchanting world of Oz and experience once again the original tale of Dorothy, her friends, and the mysterious wizard who is the most powerful in the land of Oz. Totally re-conceived for stage, this wonderful adaptation of Wizard of Oz is based on and developed from the celebrated screenplay of the movie version from MGM that starred Judy Garland. With the beloved songs from the Academy Award winning movie score, iconic moments, and all our favorite characters, Wizard of Oz features exciting surprises and delightful new songs by the prolific team of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

The most magical and most unforgettable adventure awaits the DC theatergoers as Wizard of Oz plays The National Theatre at 7:30 PM from Tuesday to Thursday, at 8 PM every Friday, at 2 PM and 8 PM every Saturday, and at 1 PM an 6:30 PM every Sunday. With one intermission, Wizard of Oz plays for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
