Follow the winding yellow brick road as it stretches across America for the first National Tour of Wizard of Oz! The new stage adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s acclaimed musical classic, Wizard of Oz is all set to amaze the Denver theatergoers this February. Opening on February 7, 2016, Wizard of Oz will be at the Buell Theatre of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts until February 13, 2016.
A wide-eyed girl from Kansas named Dorothy is swept by a tornado’s strong winds to the magical world of Oz. Together with her beloved dog Toto, Dorothy sets out to Emerald City to seek the help of a powerful wizard to be able to go back to Kansas. Along the way, she meets new friends – Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion – who accompanies her in her unforgettable journey. Inspired by the classic MGM film starring Judy Garland, Wizard of Oz has been totally re-imagined for the theater stage and features all the beloved characters, iconic moments, and new songs.
Join the magical adventures of Dorothy and her friends as Wizard of Oz opens at the Buell Theatre on February 7 (Sunday) at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. The other performances are at 7:30 PM on February 9 to 12 (Tuesday to Friday) and at 2 PM and 7:30 PM on February 13 (Saturday).
