This fall, Philadelphia theatergoers are going on an adventure in Matilda’s zany world! Matilda The Musical, the Tony Award winning and internationally acclaimed musical with over 50 international awards, joins Broadway Philadelphia’s exciting 2015-2016 season. Opening on November 17, 2015, Matilda The Musical plays the Academy of Music for two weeks until November 29, 2015.

Born in an ordinary family, Matilda Wormwood is one extraordinary girl with extraordinary talents. Growing up unappreciated by her family, Matilda’s life changes when she enters school, one that is run by a horrible and mean headmistress named Miss Trunchbull. Matilda’s sharp mind blooms under the tutelage of Miss Honey, her teacher who also becomes her friend. And with her vivid imagination and exceptional intelligence, Matilda changes her destiny. Inspired by the well loved children’s novel by Roald Dahl, Matilda The Musical is the delightful musical Philadelphia should not miss this fall!

Welcome to Matilda’s head spinning and deliriously amusing world as Matilda The Musical takes center stage at the Academy of Music from Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 PM, on Fridays at 8:00 PM, on Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and on Sundays at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM. The run time of Matilda The Musical is 2 hours and 40 minutes.
