The adorably precocious Matilda Wormwood is coming to Pittsburgh! Matilda The Musical, the enchanting and internationally acclaimed show inspired by the beloved children’s novel from Roald Dahl, is part of the PNC Broadway Across America’s exciting 2015-2015 season. Opening on May 31, 2016, Matilda The Musical takes over the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts stage for sixteen performances until June 12, 2016.

Hailed by Time Magazine as its #1 Show of the Year, Matilda The Musical tells the captivating tale of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with her vivid imagination and unusually sharp mind, dares to change her destiny. Growing up in a family unappreciative of her exceptional intelligence, Matilda blossoms under the tutelage and guidance of her beloved teacher Miss Honey and discovers her extraordinary talents in the process. Matilda The Musical received 50 international awards that include four Tony trophies and has been captivating its sold out audiences on the Great White Way and on West End.

Experience the head-spinning and zany world of Matilda with the nightly performances of Matilda The Musical at the Benedum Center for the Arts from Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 PM, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, and on Sundays at 6:30 PM. The matinee performances are at 2:00 PM on Saturdays and at 1:00 PM on Sundays. With one intermission, Matilda The Musical plays for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
