Matilda The Musical Chicago | Oriental Theatre

A head spinning adventure awaits Chicago this spring! Matilda The Musical, the internationally acclaimed musical based on the beloved children’s novel by renowned writer Roald Dahl, takes over the Oriental Theatre stage for three weeks from March 22, 2016 to April 10, 2016.

From West End and Broadway, Matilda The Musical is finally coming to Chicago! Hailed by Time Magazine as its #1 Show of the Year, Matilda The Musical is the inspiring tale of an exceptional and sweet little girl named Matilda with an extraordinary mind and vivid imagination. Born in a family that does not appreciate her and her talents, she finds a whole new world when she enters school. Despite the bullying by the school’s terrible headmistress, Matilda blossoms under the nurturing hands of her teacher Miss Honey. When she dares to make a stand, she changes her destiny.

Prepare for zany and stupendous fun as Matilda The Musical takes over the Oriental Theatre stage from Tuesday to Friday at 7:30 PM, every Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM, and every Sunday at 2 PM. There are also additional shows at 7:30 PM on March 27 (Sunday) and at 2 PM on March 30 and April 6 (Wednesdays). The run time of Matilda The Musical is 160 minutes with one intermission.
