Cabaret New Orleans | Saenger Theatre

Cabaret New Orleans | Saenger Theatre

Come hear the enticing cabaret music this spring! Cabaret, Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes’ stunning revival production of the hit and acclaimed Broadway classic inspired by Christopher Isherwood’s captivating stories, is part of the blockbuster 2015-2016 Broadway in New Orleans. Opening on April 5, 2016, Cabaret has a limited eight-show engagement at the Saenger Theatre until April 10, 2016.

As the Nazis are rising to power and making inroads in pre-World War II Germany, an aspiring American writer sets foot in Berlin to look for inspiration. Exploring the city’s nightlife, he meets and falls in love with Sally, the star of the infamous Kit Kat Klub. As life becomes increasingly uncertain with the advent of war, is the allure and decadence of Berlin’s nightlife enough to shield them during these dangerous times? Cabaret features some of theater’s most memorable songs by Fred Ebb and John Kander like “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” and “Willkommen.”

Leave your troubles outside the door and enter the wonderful world of cabaret to experience its divine decadence as Cabaret plays the Saenger Theatre on April 5 to 7 (Tuesday to Thursday) at 7:30 PM, on April 8 (Friday) at 8 PM, on April 9 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on April 9 (Sunday) at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. Each Cabaret performance runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission.
