Shakespeare’s Macbeth New York | Vivian Beaumont Theatre

Shakespeare’s Macbeth New York | Vivian Beaumont Theatre

The Scottish King, Macbeth, sets up court at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. One of William Shakespeare’s classic plays plays out as MacBeth hears a prophecy from three witches that he is destined to become King. Consumed and blinded by ambition, he murders King Duncan and rules as a merciless tyrant, paranoid, and ruthless to anyone who threatens to take away his crown. Acclaimed film actor and director Ethan Hawke dons the robes of the ill-fated king in this all star production directed by Jack O’Brien.

Shakespeare’s Macbeth began previews at New York’s Vivian Beaumont Theatre on October 25 and celebrated it’s grand opening night on November 21, 1013. The curtains rise on most evenings at 8:00pm with matinee performances at 2:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Other showtimes may vary.
