Award-winning playwright, Terrence McNally, brings another masterfully crafted play to the Great White Way with Mothers and Sons at the John Golden Theatre opening ahead of schedule in February 2014.
The debut of Mothers and Sons stars Tony-award winning actress Tyne Daly in the lead role as a mother who visits the home of her son’s former lover 20 years after his death. The woman is already married to another man and has a young son of her own. The woman must face the reality of the world changing without her over the years and confronts a life that her son might have lead.
The tale is one of love, family and forgiveness that only Terrence McNally could set to paper. Slated for it’s grand opening night on March 24, 2014, Mothers and Sons already begins previews at the John Golden Theatre on February 23, 2014.
