Rick Elice’s new musical ‘Peter and the Starcatcher’ continues its high-flying open-ended Broadway run after opening to rave reviews on April 15.
Taking a page out of Wicked’s playbook, ‘Starcatcher’ presents audiences with an interesting and a mature back story for the boy who never grew up, Peter Pan. An orphan who didn’t even had a name growing up except for the word “Boy”, Peter crosses paths with Molly, the peace-loving heroine and daughter of Starcatcher Lord Astor. Together they discover the meaning of young love and genuine friendship, long before Peter learned to soar the starry skies and fight the high seas against greedy pirates.
‘Peter and the Starcatcher’ continues to play the Brooks Atkinson Theatre at 7 PM from Mondays to Thursdays and 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
