Direct from its phenomenally success run on the Great White Way, Newsies is hitting the road for its National Tour and will touch down in Orlando as a part of the Broadway Across America Orlando 2014-2015 season! Newsies, Disney Theatrical Productions’ newest hit, has an eight-show engagement at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts from January 27 to February 1, 2015.
The newsboys of New York City only delivered the newspapers; that is, until they stole the headlines. Inspired by the true events of the 1899 Newsboys Strike and adapted from the captivating movie of the same name, Newsies explodes on stage with its high-energy dance choreography and delightful songs. With Jeff Calhoun at the helm, Newsies took home the Tony for Best Original Score and Best Choreography.
Experience 140 minutes of Broadway magic as Newsies plays the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on January 27 to 30 (Tuesday to Friday) at 7:30 PM, on January 31 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on February 1 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM.
