Something Rotten Costa Mesa | Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Is anyone ready for a time of their lives? Then immediately secure your ticket to the rave-of-the-moment Broadway comedy musical, Something Rotten, when it comes to the Orange County. This new and widely acclaimed comedy musical will be showing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa from November 7-19, 2017.

Composed by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick and based on the book by John O’Farrell, Something Rotten narrates the story of playwrights Nick and Nigel Bottom, who aim to write a play that would equal and even exceed the success of those written by William Shakespeare. Their efforts are ultimately in vain until they are foretold of a new genre of plays, involving dancing, singing and acting, that will be the leaders of theatre and the brothers attempt to become the pioneers of this new trend.

Come enjoy this hilarious story channeled through top actors decked in Elizabethan garb. Words do not completely describe this fun-filled theatrical production, which Elizabeth Vincentelli of The New York Post defines as “deliriously entertaining”.
