Jersey Boys Vancouver | Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Jersey Boys Vancouver | Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Back by popular demand! Broadway musical phenomenon ‘Jersey Boys’ returns to Vancouver this fall for a 16-night run at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from September 5 to 23, 2012. Fans will definitely sigh, “oh, what a night!” in sheer excitement and amazement over and over again.

A biographical musical that follows ‘60s pop icons Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons through their rags-to-riches journey from working class Jersey men to one of pop music’s greatest chart-toppers, ‘Jersey Boys’ is a sure-fire hit among fans and critics with Four Seasons classics such as ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ and ‘Walk Like a Man’ underscoring Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi’s inspiring tale of dreaming and achieving big after spending their young years on the wrong side of the tracks in the Garden State.

Show times for ‘Jersey Boys’ in Vancouver are at 8 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 7:30 PM on Sundays (except for September 23rd). Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, with a special matinee on Wednesday, September 19 also at 2 PM. The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.

“This well-oiled behemoth takes the audience on a whirlwind journey through the Boys’ meteoric rise to stardom, and does so with a lot of heart. Not shying away from the dark, rough spots in the lives of Valli and the Four Seasons (with infidelity, marital problems, jealousy, and huge financial problems to name a few), the writers did not unnecessarily sugar coat the story nor did they try to excessively glamorize their lives.” – Jay Catterson of The Charlebois Post

“The show is full of scenes so common to music industry stories as to be almost mythical – the boys from the bad part of town who escape through art; the inspired genius who invokes jealousy; inner-band conflict over a woman; sudden success eradicating the ability to live moderately; and families left at home who suffer.” – Brian of Creatively Speaking
