Autumn may be a chilly and cold season but that doesn’t stop the Tony Award winning musical ‘Hair’ from heating up the crisp air by letting the sun shine in all of us with its spirit and exuberance. Come to the Buell Theatre in Denver this fall, from October 4 to 16, 2011, and be electrified with this musical’s energy and be moved with its relevance and message.
It may be “Easy to be Hard” but ‘Hair’ will easily win you over with its vibrant and colorful set designs and costumes, its high octane repertoire, scores and choreography, and a story that is both relevant and thought provoking. Set in the 1960s at the advent of the Vietnam War and the birth of the hippie cultural revolution, ‘Hair’ tells the story of a group of young, free-spirited and liberal Americans who are fighting for peace, love and equality. The story may be set ages ago, but the musical continues to resonate among fans regardless of age and perspective.
Show times for ‘Hair’ are at 8 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and at 7:30 PM on Sundays. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on weekends.
