Evita Tempe | ASU Gammage

Eva Peron heads to Tempe this fall for the ASU Gammage’s 2013-2014 Broadway Season! Evita, the Tony Award-winning musical that highlights the life of Eva Peron, will have its widely-anticipated week-long run at the ASU Gammage Auditorium on December 3 to 8, 2013.

With her brilliance, beauty, charisma, and ambition, Eva rose from the Argentine slums to the presidential mansion of Casa Rosada to become one of the most powerful and prominent women in the history of Latin America and the world. A young and beautiful Argentine First Lady at age 27 in 1946, Eva Duarte Peron had been hailed as a champion of masses because of her renowned charitable works. She was also a prominent figure in the labor and women suffrage movements in Argentina until her death in 1952.

Don’t miss Evita as it plays at the ASU Gammage on December 3 to 6 (Tuesday to Friday) at 7:30 PM, on December 7 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and on December 8 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. EVita runs for 2 hours, exclusive of one 15-minute intermission.
