Evita Milwaukee | Marcus Center

Always a crowd favorite, the hit Broadway musical, Evita, comes to the Marcus Center’s Uihlein Hall this February 2014 in Milwaukee.

Don’t cry for her, though the story of Evita highlights both the highs and lows of the life of Argentina’s beloved former First Lady, Evita Peron. Her rise from a poor performer to one of the most influential women in the world made many of her rich political detractor call her a social climbing actress and worse. But she was much beloved by her people who saw her as a beautiful light shining amidst the corruption. Although driven by her passion and always ready for a smile for her people, she was constantly followed by the dark shadows of greed and corruption. Her tragic story is immortalized in this award winning musical by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Come to the Uihlein Hall – Marcus Center for a night of music and dancing that will leave you teary eyed and inspired by the first lady of Argentina. Evita comes to Milwaukee from February 4 through 9 only. Performances will begin at 7:30pm on Tuesday to Thursday, and at 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s evening show will start at 6:30pm. Afternoon matiness will play at 2:00pm on Saturday, and at 1:00pm on Sunday.
