Evita Houston | Sarofim Hall

Eva Peron, the enigmatic and legendary Argentine First Lady, will dazzle Houston with her presence as she visits the city for the 2013 – 2014 season of Theatre Under The Stars. Opening on May 6, 2014, Evita plays the Sarofim Hall of the Hobby Center for Performing Arts on May 6 to 18, 2014.

Telling the unforgettable and extraordinary true story of Eva Duarte Peron, Evita takes it audience from the Junin slums to Casa Rosada to witness the meteoric ascent of a poor and illegitimate child to becoming not only the adored and celebrated First Lady of Argentina but also one of the most powerful and legendary women in the world. Her passionate tale is told onstage through beautiful and stirring songs like “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”, “You Must Love Me”, and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”.

Evita plays at the Sarofim Hall from Tuesday to Thursday at 7:30 PM, every Friday at 8 PM, every Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM, and every Sunday at 2 PM and 8 PM. On May 18 (Sunday), the 2 PM show is an Audio Described Performance while the 7:30 show is a Captioned Performance.
