Evita Denver | Buell Theatre

Eva Perón conquers Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ The Buell Theatre stage for the limited two-week run of Evita in Denver on January 15 to 26, 2014.

Evita, the critically-acclaimed musical from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber, is based on the unforgettable life story of Eva Perón, a beautiful and passionate woman who uses her charisma and smarts to meteorically rise from the Argentinean slums to the presidential palace. As First Lady of Argentina, Eva Perón became known as a champion of the working class and the poor and was considered one of the world’s most powerful women. However, her fragile health hindered her to fully realize her ambitions. Evita also features some of the theater world’s most unforgettable songs like “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “High Flying, Adored,” “Another Suitcase In Another Hall,” and “You Must Love Me.”

Evita plays at The Buell Theatre at 7:30 PM from Tuesday to Sunday, with weekend matinees at 2 PM and a special weekday matinee at 2 PM on January 16 (Thursday).
