After mesmerizing audiences all around the world, including Broadway fans, the Tony Award winning theatrical masterpiece Wicked returns to Baltimore for a four-week run at the Hippodrome Theatre of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center from April 1 to 26, 2015.
Hailed by The New York Times as “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster”, Wicked is a fascinating musical that takes audiences back in time in the wonderful world of Munchkinland long before Dorothy came into the picture. It harkens back to a time when the Witches of Oz were just a couple of young girls who grew up together but whose striking differences in personality, perspectives and appearances pulled them apart as they realized and fulfilled their own seperate destinies. Their journey, transformation and adventures they shared greatly shape “the most complete – and completely satisfying – new musical in a long time” (USA Today).
Show times for Wicked are at 8 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6:30 PM on Sundays. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Saturdays and 1 PM on Sundays. The performance running time of Wicked in Baltimore is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.
