The Lion King, the spectacular award-winning musical based on the well-loved Disney animated feature, leaps onto the Detroit Opera House stage from February 14, 2013 to March 10, 2013.

The Lion King, one of the longest running and highest grossing musicals in Broadway history, is the story of Simba, a young lion who reclaims his father’s pride. Aside from a story that appeals to all ages, The Lion King also features stunning sets, impressive stagecraft and a wonderful musical score that includes new songs and the well loved hits from the original movie like Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Be Prepared, I Just Can’t Wait To Be King, and Circle of Life.

The show times of The Lion King in Detroit are at 7:30 PM from Tuesday to Saturday and at 6:30 PM every Sunday. The weekend matinees are at 2 PM every Saturday and at 1 PM on Sundays, with special weekday matinees on February 14 and March 7 at 1 PM. A signed performance is also scheduled at 6:30 PM on February 24. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.
