Pamela Anderson Fuels Rumors of Broadway Run in ‘Chicago’
Pamela Anderson was the first celebrity voted off this season of “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night, but it looks like her consolation is that she is heading to Broadway.
“I’m gonna end up in musical theater. I’m gonna be on Broadway,” the former “Baywatch” star told CBS news. This might serve to confirm a rumor that Anderson will join the cast of “Chicago” on the Great White Way. Recently she was spotted visiting the cast, and “now there is talk that she could be taking over the role of Roxie Hart,” according to RumorFix.com.
Anderson was the first dancer to be eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night, September 25, after a weak performance on the show.
“Sorry … nerves … I screwed up so many things … I did terrible,” she told her dance partner Tristan MacManus after the performance.
She later tweeted about her elimination, “Good Luck – everyone at DWTS… The fish out of water has left the building. Sad – but deserved it. I didn’t come through last night,” she wrote on her Twitter account.
In rehearsal footage from the season that was aired during the elimination episode, Anderson spoke of how much she had enjoyed her time on the show, which is now in its 10th season.
“Every week we get to perform a little play,” she said. “It’s harder than it looks to do everything. It’s a challenge from head to toe.”
Anderson is perhaps best known as an actress for her role of C.J. Parker in “Baywatch.” She also has appeared in the television shows “V.I.P.” and “Home Improvement.” She also has appeared in a number of movies including “Barb Wire” and “Scary Movie 3.” Additionally, she is known as an activist for PETA and an entrepreneur.
