Broadway Week Serves Up 2 for 1 Tickets to Wicked, Lion King, Kinky Boots

Wicked, Lion King, and Kinky Boots are among several popular Broadway shows participating in this winter’s Broadway week, where two-for-one theatre tickets are offered to audiences. Performances are offered January 21 – February 6, 2014. Show goers can take advantage of the deal beginning January 6, 2014.

Broadway week is presented by NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism, and partnership organization. The event is scheduled to coincide with the heavy tourism expected in the New York metropolitan area for Super Bowl XLVIII, which will be held February 4, 2014 at MetLife Stadium.

Broadway League executive director Charlotte St. Martin shared in a statement, “NYC & Company’s innovative two-for-one program is a smart way for New Yorkers and visitors to tackle Broadway this Super Bowl season! Broadway Week is now becoming a semi-annual event for savvy theatre fans who love plays and musicals – and more shows are participating than ever before. As our city is getting ready to welcome a live celebrated sports event that applauds teamwork and an ensemble cast of star athletes, a live theatrical performance on Broadway is also a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Okay NFL fans, show us your plays, and we’ll show you our plays.”
