Bernadette Peters Embarks on Concert Tour After ‘Follies’

After her latest Broadway outing in the recent revival of “Follies,” Bernadette Peters has embarked on a solo concert tour that will keep her on the road for much of the rest of this year.

The dates kicked of last week, and the next shows will be a two-night stand at the Cincinnati Music Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tour will continue fairly consistently until October 25, when the Tony Award winner performs at the Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville, Ill. She also has a date scheduled for December 1 at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Other cities where Peters will perform on the tour include Indiana, Penn.; Boston; Burlington, Vt; Newark, N.J.; Lenox, Mass.; Wichita, Kansas; Columbus, Ga.; Morristown, N.J. and Englewood, N.J.

All performances have been dubbed “A Night with Bernadette Peters,” and fans can expect songs from the entirety of Peters’ theater and recording career. She will also perform songs from “Follies.”

Peters won Tony Awards for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Song & Dance” and Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun.” She has also appeared on Broadway in “Mack & Mabel,” “On the Town,” “Sunday in the Park with George,” The Goodbye Girl” and “A Little Night of Music.” The latter earned her a 2003 Tony Nomination. Peters also appeared in the original production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods.”

Throughout her career, Peters has released six solo albums, and appeared on numerous cast albums, as well. She has won four Grammy Awards for cast albums that she has appeared on.

Peters also has appeared in many films and television shows. Movies and shows she has appeared in include “The Jerk,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Ally McBeal,” “Anastasia” and “Smash.” She has been nominated for multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
