Beautiful – The Carole King Musical traces the life and career of one of the most influential and bestselling artists of the 20th Century, Carole King.

The Tony Award-winning musical hit follows the story of the groundbreaking singer-songwriter, from a young Brooklyn teenager to a successful artist, wife and mother. Before being known as a pop legend, Carole Klein was a shy 17-year-old teenager who dreamed about writing pop songs. Her dreams soon become a reality as she meets the husband of her dreams and songwriting partner, Gerry Goffin, with whom she will write hits for the biggest acts in rock ‘n roll, such as: The Drifters, The Monkees, The Shirelles and Aretha Franklin. Along the way, she discovers that there is more to life than just her fairy tale lifestyle and that “it’s only when we fall, that we learn to fly”.

The creative team for Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is composed by Oscar nominated screenwriter Douglas McGrath, who co-wrote the screenplay for Bullets Over Broadway with Woody Allen, while Marc Bruni (The Explorers Club, Book Of Mormon, Anything Goes) handles direction. Choreography is led by Josh Prince and the musical score features some of the most influential pop songs in musical history: You’ve Lost That Lovin Feeling, Natural Woman, It Might As Well Rain until September, One Fine Day, So Far Away, Up On The Roof and Locomotion.

Carole King has won 4 Grammy Awards and has made over 20 albums. Her first solo project, Tapestry, held the record for most weeks as Billboard’s Number 1 album by a female artist for over 20 years.
