Beautiful The Carole King Musical Los Angeles | Pantages Theatre

A perfect combination of classic hits combined with an inspiring story of power, strength, ambition and talent, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical presents the fascinating rise to stardom and the triumphant outcome of one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical begins right before young Brooklyn teenager Carole Klein creates her first hit, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, in 1959 at the early age of 17. But it’s her co-writing with husband Gerry Goffin alongside composing friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann that helps her become a true pop legend, writing timeless hits for artists such as: The Drifters, The Monkees, The Shirelles, Little Eva and Aretha Franklin. When her personal life begins to fall apart, Carole decides to stuck out on her own, as a songwriter and performer, creating her most inspiring and soul-searching album – Tapestry.

The creative team for Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is composed by director Marc Bruni, with a book developed by Tony Award nominee and Oscar nominated screenwriter Douglas McGrath. The musical score includes some of the most iconic songs in pop music history, like: You’ve Lost That Lovin Feeling, You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman, So Far Away, One Fine Day, It Might As Well Rain Until September, Up On The Roof and Locomotion.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical had its first Broadway appearance in January 2014, while Carole King has won 4 Grammy Awards and has created over 20 albums in the course of time.

You can catch the excitement of this captivating musical coming to Los Angeles, CA at The Hollywood Pantages from June 22 until July 17, 2016.
