Wicked South Bend | Morris Performing Arts Center

It’s the Emerald City, Munchkin Land, and all the characters from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz! As Stephen Schwartz, the lyricist and composer of Wicked says, there are two sides to every story – Find out the untold story of the witches of Oz as Wicked comes to the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend from September 7 to 18 only!

Wicked, the award-winning, blockbuster Broadway show, is the origin story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with the rich, popular girl at school who would go on to become Glinda the Good. What begins as a loathsome rivalry turns into a friendship that defies all odds. In the land of Oz, nothing is as it seems and the lines between good and bad are blurred.

Catch Wicked, the events of what happened in Oz before Dorothy came to town as the tour passes through South Bend only at the Morris Performing Arts Center from September 7 to 18, 2016. The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.

“Pacing, until the arrival of the Wicked Witch, aka Evillene, at the beginning of Act 2, was slow. Even the arrival of Dorothy’s friends-in-need — Scarecrow (Brandon Harper), Tinman (Pierre Cooks) and Lion (Jason Johnson) — did little to energize the proceedings.” – Marcia of MarciaMarciaMarcia
