The legendary Von Trapp Family is all set to fill The Adrienne Arsht Center with beautiful music! The Sound of Music, the exciting new production of an acclaimed classic, makes it Miami premiere as part of Broadway in Miami’s stellar 2015/2016 season. Opening on December 29, 2015, The Sound of Music will be at the Ziff Opera House of The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts until January 3, 2016.

Helmed by Tony-winning director Jack O’Brien, The Sound of Music is the spirited and romantic story of Maria and the Family Von Trapp brought to life onstage by its Tony, Academy, and Grammy Award winning score by Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers. With book by Russel Crouse and Howard Lindsay, The Sound of Music is inspired by Maria Trapp’s memoir. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of its critically acclaimed film version, The Sound of Music features beloved classic songs like “Edelweiss,” “The Sound of Music,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.”
