Maria and the lovably rowdy Trapp children are on the way to Baltimore! The Sound of Music, the exciting brand new production of the widely adored and acclaimed musical, is on its National Tour and joins the blockbuster 2015-16 Hippodrome Broadway Series. Opening on December 8, 2015, The Sound of Music is all set to fill The Hippodrome Theatre with beautiful music until December 13, 2015.

With direction by Jack O’Brien, The Sound of Music takes its Baltimore audience to experience the unforgettable story of Maria and the Trapp family. While at the monastery as a novitiate, little did Maria knew that when she was tasked to be the new governess of Captain George Von Trapp’s many children, her life will change forever. With Russel Crouse and Howard Lindsay’s book inspired by the memoir of Maria Trapp, The Sound of Music features it acclaimed score that won the Tony, Academy, and Grammy Awards for Best Score.

Experience the spirited performances of The Sound of Music at The Hippodrome Theatre on December 8 to 11 (Tuesday to Friday) at 8 PM, on December 12 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on December 13 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM. The running time of every The Sound of Music show is 174 minutes.
