The Lion King Wichita | Century II Concert Hall

The Lion King Wichita | Century II Concert Hall

The Lion King roars onto the Wichita Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center from September 4 to 30, 2012. See the Concert Hall come alive with the sights and rhythms of Africa and popular songs from the animated movie like “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and the catchy “Hakuna Matata” transform the stage into another world.

The sun rises over the African Savannah and all the animals of the Pride Lands gather together to greet their new King, Simba. But sinister forces plot against the young cub in the form of his uncle Scar and his posse of hyenas from the Bad Lands. Simba must gather the courage to face Scar to reclaim his rightful place as King. This opening spectacle set to the song “The Circle of Life” has earned headlines around the world and stamped The Lion King as a groundbreaking musical that transformed and redefined Broadway theatre.

Performance times for The Lion King at the Concert Hall of the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center are at 7:30pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays, and at 8:00pm for Friday and Saturday shows. Sunday evening performances begin at 6:30pm. Afternoon matinees start at 2:00pm every Saturday from September 4 to 30, 2012.
