The Lion King Tulsa | Chapman Music Hall

Run wild with The Lion King at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center as the hit Broadway musical comes to life at the Chapman Music Hall from June 4 to 30, 2013.

As a young cub, Simba the lion is taught that he would one day be King of the Pride Lands just like his father. At first, young and arrogant, he does not understand the true extent of his responsibilities. His entire world changes when his uncle, Scar, plots to has his father killed and blames Simba for it — forcing him to leave the Pride Lands, seemingly forever. But with friends he meets as he grows up, and a chance reunion with his childhood friend, Nala, Simba learns what it truly means to be King and gathers the courage to face his uncle and reclaim his rightful place.

See the Chapman Music Hall be transformed into an African savannah through the stage artistry and puppets originally designed by award-winning director Julie Taymor. The Lion King will run From June 4 to 30, 2013 with details on specific show times to be announced shortly.
The performance running time is 2 hours and 45 minutes with 1 intermission.
