Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ rules over the Charm City up north for a whole month, celebrating the holiday season at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center’s Hippodrome Theatre, from November 16 to December 10, 2017.
A Tony and Oscar award winner, ‘The Lion King’ is a theatrical masterpiece that does not only celebrate the circle of life and teaches us the value of responsibility, courage and belongingness; it is also a marvelous visual spectacle that breathes a new life to the wonders of the African savanna. See birds soar, lions growl, bugs fly and crawl, trees sway and rocks littering the roads, all set up within the confines of a dynamic stage housing a vibrant and breathtaking backdrop and set design, that will transport you from your seats to the majestic grassland, home of the Lion King and his subjects and the inspiration for the show’s acclaimed tunes and scores.
