Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson All Gunning for ‘Les Miserables’ Role

The role of Eponine in the upcoming screen version of “Les Misererables” is very desirable and several entertainment stars are in the running. At the top of the list is country music sensation Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson, and Evan Rachel Wood.

Taylor Swift started as a teen country star and her music has crossed over to pop. She has been nominated and won multiple Grammy and CMA Awards. She has crossed over to acting appearing in some movies and television. Swift could easily transition to a Hollywood star and brings a lot of star power with her.

Michele Lea has starred on Broadway in “Les Misererables” as Young Cossette. She also has performed in three other Broadway productions. She is a star on the “Glee” show. Michele brings experience with the project, a successful Broadway career, and some star power from “Glee.” She reportedly performed very well at auditions.

Scarlett Johansson is a Tony Award winning actress. She won the Tony for her work in “A View from the Bridge.” Johansson also brings a lengthy film resume which includes “The Horse Whisperer,” “Lost in Translation” and “Match Point” to name a few.

Evan Rachel Wood also has impressive resume of film and television work. Her film work includes “Thirteen” and “Little Secrets” and “Across the Universe” to name a few. Wood has starred in “Profiler,” “Once and Again,” and “True Blood” on television.

Each of the actresses have reportedly auditioned. They all bring something to the table. The movie could be successful with any of the four.
