But the mysterious Phantom of the Opera wants a few changes made — beginning with replacing the lead prima donna with a young girl from the ballet chorus, Christine Daee. What follows is a love story set to the haunting, timeless melodies of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber that has captured the hearts of theatre audiences for decades.
