He’s coming! The mysterious masked phantom is on the road to Durham for the 2014-2015 SunTrust Broadway Season. The Phantom of the Opera, the magnificent hit production from Cameron Mackintosh, has a two-week engagement in Durham this fall. Opening on October 8, 2014, Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera takes over the Durham Performing Arts Center until October 19.

Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera is the smash hit and critically-acclaimed production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal classic that tells the timeless story of an up-and-coming opera singer and her mysterious mentor – a masked phantom who haunts the opera house. With new choreography, lighting and scenic designs, The Phantom of the Opera also features the original’s award-winning costume designs and heralded musical score that includes classics like “All I Ask Of You” and “Masquerade.”

Don’t miss The Phantom of the Opera as it opens at the Durham Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM on October 8 (Wednesday). With a special matinee performance on October 9 (Thursday) at 2 PM, the regular shows on weeknights are at 7:30 PM from Tuesday through Thursday and at 8 PM every Friday. The weekend performances are at 2 PM and 8 PM every Saturday and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM every Sunday. Phantom of the Opera runs for 150 minutes.
