Once, the big winner of the prestigious 2012 Tony Awards, takes the spotlight at the San Diego Civic Center on August 12 to 17, 2014. This six-week engagement of Once in San Diego is included Broadway San Diego’s exciting 2013-2014 season.
In the city of Dublin, a struggling local street musician is on the verge of letting go of his lifelong dreams when a young and beautiful Czech émigré becomes drawn to his music. As they musically collaborate to create a demo album, he realizes that his music only needed her for it to soar to new and exciting heights. As days go by, their musical collaboration and friendship evolve into a complicated relationship.
Catch the inspiring weeknight performances of Once at the San Diego Civic Center at 7 PM on August 12 and 13 (Tuesday and Wednesday), at 7:30 PM on August 14 (Thursday) and at 8 PM on August 15 (Friday). There are also performances on August 16 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 8 PM and on August 17 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM.
