The national tour of West Side Story can now welcome Joanna Grisso, Jarrad Biron Green, Michelle Alves, and Michael Spencer Smith to its cast. Grisso will play Maria, Green will play Tony, Alves will play Anita, and Spencer will play Benjamin.

Conant as Graziella, Mark Deler as Inca, Nathaniel Dombek as Big Deal, Michael Ehlers as Action, Mark Fishback as Doc, Alejandro Fonseca as a Shark Boy, Patrick Graver as Diesel, Roasalie Graziano as Anybodys, Kevin Hack as a Shark Boy, Dana Hunter as a Shark Girl, Beau Hutchings as Snowboy, Justin Joseph Laguna as A-rab, Suki Lopez as a Shark Girl, Gabriel Malo as Chino, Skip Pipo as Lt. Schrank, Emilio Ramos as a Shark Boy, Benjiman Dallas Redding as Riff, Hillary Danielle Reiter as a Shark Girl, Shaun Repetto as a Swing, Ricardo Rique-Sanchez as Pepe, Sam Rohloff as Baby John, Ashley Talluto as a Jet Girl, Matt Webster as Glad Hand, and Kristin Yancy as a Shark Girl. The national tour of West Side Story is based upon the 2009 critically-acclaimed Broadway revival directed by the late Arthur Laurents. Press notes state that the production “tells the story of star-crossed lovers Tony and Maria as they struggle to rise above the hatred and intolerance that surrounds them.”
Members of the creative team include James Youmans with scenic design, Tony Award nominee David C. Woolard with costume design, Peter McBoyle with sound design, and Tony Award winner Howell Binkley with lighting. A score by Bernstein and Sondheim features “Something’s Coming,” “Tonight,” “America,” “I Feel Pretty” and “Somewhere.”
The show will relaunch November 5 in Memphis, TN. Additional stops on the tour include Memphis, Springfield, Norfolk, Wilmington, West Palm Beach, and Naples among other cities.
