The much-anticipated special engagement of Mamma Mia! in Tempe starts this New Year’s Eve! As part of the 2013/14 Progressive Broadway Across America Arizona season, Mamma Mia! opens on December 31, 2013 at the ASU Gammage and will run in Tempe until January 5, 2014.
Bride-to-be Sophie has only one wish – for her unknown father to be with her when she walks down the aisle. However, her mother has never revealed her father’s identity nor talked about him. After secretly reading her mother’s diary, Sophie sends wedding invitations to three men who could be her father. With an excited bride, her three possible dads, and her mother coming face to face with three past lovers, Mamma Mia! is the upbeat feel-good show that will take its Tempe audience on one thrilling jaunt all over a beautiful Greek isle singing all the greatest hits of ABBA.
Mamma Mia! plays the ASU Gammage on December 31 to January 3 (Tuesday to Friday) at 7:30 PM, on January 4 (Saturday) at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and on January 5 (Sunday) at 1 PM and 6:30 PM.
