Simba’s roars will echo in Washington DC as Lion King runs at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Opera House for two whole months! Opening on June 17, 2014, Lion King will be in Washington DC until August 17, 2014.

Adapted from the acclaimed 1994 blockbuster animated feature from Disney, Lion King is one of the highest grossing, longest running, and widely acclaimed shows on the Great White Way. Aside from its 6 trophies from the Tony Awards that include Best Musical, Lion King also won various awards including the Laurence Olivier Award (UK) and the Molière Award (France). Lion King features stunning sets and costumes, fantastic choreography, and all the beloved characters and unforgettable songs from the film.

Behold as the African Pridelands come to magnificent life as Lion King plays at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from Tuesday to Friday evenings at 7:30 PM and every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
