Lion King Columbus | Ohio Theatre

The pulsating primal rhythms of Africa will resound in Columbus this fall! Lion King, one of the most popular and top grossing Broadway musicals of all time, joins the impressive line-up of shows destined for Columbus during the 2014-2015 season. Opening on October 14, 2014, Lion King plays the Ohio Theatre for four weeks until November 9, 2014.

The visually breathtaking and spectacular musical production from Disney, Lion King won the Tony Award for Best Musical and was inspired by the Academy Award winning 1994 Disney animated movie by the same name. It retells the tale of Simba, a young lion prince on self-exile who decides to fulfill his destiny and reclaim his true place as king of the Pride Lands. In The Lion King, marvel at the Serengeti and watch the exotic African wildlife gloriously come alive on stage. Sing along with its unforgettable songs including Tim Rice and Elton John’s acclaimed “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.”

Revisit the Pride Lands as The Lion King runs at the Ohio Theatre at 7:30 PM from Tuesdays through Thursdays, at 8 PM on Fridays, at 2 PM and 8 PM on Saturdays, and at 1 PM and 6:30 PM on Sundays. With one 15-minute intermission, the performance time of Lion King is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
