Les Miserables Philadelphia | Academy of Music

Dream the dream for one of the greatest musicals to be ever staged is coming to Philadelphia once again as part of its 25th anniversary tour. ‘Les Miserables’ will be playing the Academy of Music at the Kimmel Center from January 2 to 13, 2013.

Welcome the new year with this re-invigorated version of the Boublil and Schonberg classic. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, ‘Les Mis’ still features the same inspiring story set amidst the French Revolution, a story that celebrates the survivor and the optimist in every person, a story that for this brand new staging, has been made more gripping with stronger motivations and is underscored by befitting visuals inspired by the artistic legacy of Victor Hugo, to come up with the most exuberating, “spectacular” (The New York Times) and “astonishingly powerful” (The London Times) revival of the year. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
