Les Miserables is the musical, based on the novel by Victor Hugo. It is the story of Jean Valjean, a convicted chain gang prisoner, who breaks parole and spends the rest of his life hiding and running from the ruthless Inspector Javert. It also shows the passionate rebels of the student uprisings of the June Rebellion in Paris. It’s score and lyrics have begome iconic standards in musical theatre and it’s haunting ballads are filled will pure, raw emotion of the human spirit.
See Les Miserables live at the the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton from July 9 through 14, 2013. The curtains rise at 8:00pm on Tuesday through Saturday, and at 7:30pm on Sunday. Afternoon Matinees are at 2:00pm on July 13 and 14.
