Les Miserables Costa Mesa | Segerstrom Center for the Arts

New isn’t always better, and this is proven over and over again by the Broadway and West End timeless masterpiece ‘Les Miserables’. For 25 years, this dramatic stage piece that celebrates the survival power of the human spirit has always surprised audiences with more energetic and meaningful production numbers and more poignant songs, scores and arrangements, while staying true to the original story penned by Boublil & Schonberg. This new production not only stays true to the original book, but also relives the artistic legacy of Victor Hugo through its set designs, pieces, backdrops and costumes. The New York Times hails this revival as “an unquestionably spectacular production from start to finish”, while The London Times gives this show five stars for being “astonishingly powerful”.

Brought back on stage by acclaimed producer Cameron Mackintosh, the 25th anniversary staging of ‘Les Mis’ comes to Costa Mesa in the summer of 2012, braving the scorching Californian heat while inspiring every theatre patron with the struggles and triumphs of its characters. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will house this vibrant and uplifting musical from June 12 to 24, 2012. Show times are at 7:30 PM from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6:30 PM on Sundays, with matinee performances at 2 PM on Saturdays (with sign language interpretation) and 1 PM on Sundays. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
