‘Les Miserables’ unravels in Charlotte once again for a week-long run at the Belk Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center from February 12 to 17, 2013, as part of its ongoing 25th anniversary national tour.

Unrivaled, unparalleled and incomparable, not even to its previous revivals, this new production of ‘Les Miserables’ presented by box-office hit producer Cameron Mackintosh separates itself from all other previous ‘Les Mis’ productions with a story that is made tighter, grittier and more inspiring, keeping it abreast with the modern and changing expectations of musical theater fans, songs and scores that continue to highlight the messages and emotions this musical conveys, and rousing visuals and scenic designs that not only capture the soul of the entire masterpiece, but are also reminiscent of the works of its original author, Victor Hugo. These elements help revitalize this legendary production which has already earned tantamount raves from critics, with The New York Times hailing it as “an unquestionably spectacular production from start to finish,” while The London Times proclaims it “a five-star hit, astonishingly powerful.”

‘Les Miserables’ will play the Belk Theater at 7:30 PM from February 12 to 14, 8 PM on February 15 and 16, and at 7 PM on February 17. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on the 16th and 1:30 PM on the 17th. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
