Warming up Boise’s 2012-2013 Broadway season is Cameron Mackintosh’s 25th anniversary presentation of the renowned Boublil and Schonberg theatrical classic ‘Les Miserables’. This season special offering will play the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts from September 19 to 23, 2012.

“A dynamically re-imagined hit” as the Star-Ledger puts it, this new reboot of ‘Les Mis’ is bolder, more rousing and more resounding than ever. Featuring an ensemble cast giving life to a grittier and more motivated adaptation of the revered Victor Hugo novel made more visually captivating with the refreshing and provocative scenic designs, borrowing inspiration and a brush stroke or two from Victor Hugo’s paintings, this revitalized version of the Broadway classic is definitely more relevant and substantial than ever. Audiences from all walks of life and across generations can surely learn a thing or two from this tour-de-force of a production that celebrates the aspirant, the courageous and the ambitious in each of us.

‘Les Miserables’ will play the Morrison Center at 7:30 PM on September 19 and 20, 8 PM on the 21st and 22nd, and 6:30 PM on the 23rd. Matinee performances are at 2 PM on Thursday the 20th and Saturday the 22nd, and 1 PM on Sunday the 23rd. The performance running time is 2 hours 50 minutes with 1 intermission.
