Elf Tampa | Carol Morsani Hall

Elf Tampa | Carol Morsani Hall

Christmas comes early this year in Tampa as the Broadway box office hit ‘Elf’ spreads the Yuletide cheer via a week-long run at the Carol Morsani Hall of the Straz Center from November 20 to 25, 2012.

‘Elf’ is the fascinating story of little orphan Buddy who gets the experience of a lifetime – or so he thinks. After crawling into Santa’s big bag of presents by mistake, he, St. Nicolas and his reindeers are flown back to the North Pole, where he grows up thinking he’s one of Santa’s little helpers. But when he outgrows all the elves and the elves consistently outdo him in toy-making (which should not be surprising as they should be), he realizes that he in fact is an earthling with a father who’s on Santa’s naughty list and a step-brother who doesn’t believe in the wonders of Christmas, one of which is Santa Claus and the other creatures from the North Pole responsible for making Christmas more magical and memorable for kids and even for the kids-at-heart. The performance running time is 2 hours with 1 intermission.
