A modern Cinderella is coming to Washington DC this fall! Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the Tony winning musical that re-imagines a well loved classic tale, makes its much anticipated DC premiere as part of the 2015/16 Broadway at The National. Opening on November 18, 2015, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella has a six-week engagement at The National Theatre until November 29, 2015.

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella offers a fresh and interesting take on the story of a simple young woman who becomes a princess. Complete with original tales classic elements, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella offers new and surprising twists. In this new production, Cinderella is a modern and contemporary figure who happens to live in a fairy tale setting. A spirited and beautiful young woman, she fights for her dreams. Longing to make this world a much better place, Cinderella makes the prince open his eyes to really know the world around him and helps him to also realize his dreams.

Meet the new Cinderella as Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella opens at the National Theatre on November 18 (Wednesday) at 7:30 PM. The regular performances are at 7:30 PM from Tuesday to Thursday, at 8:00 PM every Friday, at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM every Saturday, and at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM every Sunday. A special 2 PM matinee is scheduled on November 25 (Wednesday). With one intermission, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella plays for 135 minutes.
