Book of Mormon Richmond | Altria Theatre

Mark your calendars! The New York Times’ “best musical” of the century is finally coming back to Richmond! Book of Mormon, the highly entertaining and sensational religious satire musical, joins the exciting 2016-2017 season of Broadway in Richmond. Opening on February 7, 2017, Book of Mormon plays the Altria Theater for eight performances only until February 12, 2017.

From Salt Lake City to the northern Ugandan region, a pair of young and neophyte Mormon missionaries embarks on an evangelical mission with only one of them with a clear understanding and knowledge of the Mormon scriptures. How they try to surmount the odds makes for a hilarious adventure that will surely tickle the imagination of Richmond theatergoers. Since its phenomenal 2011 Broadway premiere, The Book Mormon has taken the US theater world by storm, broke several box office records, and won many awards that include the Tony for Best Musical.
