Book of Mormon Pittsburgh | Benedum Center

Book of Mormon Pittsburgh | Benedum Center

The Book of Mormon comes to Pittsburgh in the winter of 2017 for a one-week run at the Benedum Center from February 21 to 26, 2017.

Who says Broadway musicals should always be dramatic and overly serious for it to be a benchmark for other shows? The Book of Mormon clearly defies this logic. The critical praise is deafening and audiences are falling all over themselves to see what all the fuss is about. Its a show known for its hilarity and bold employment of satire in chronicling the adventures of two naïve Mormon evangelists sent on a religious mission to Uganda. In a country where the culture, the faith and the norms are radically different – to say the least – from what they’re used to in Mormon country, these two dim-witted boys from Utah will get an education and immerse themselves in a new way of life that makes for “a crowning achievement” in musicals, as Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show puts it.

The performance running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes with 1 intermission.
