Broadway Across America and the Omaha Performing Arts proudly present the highly acclaimed The Book of Mormon to officially open the 2015/2016 Broadway Series in Omaha this spring! The Book of Mormon, Tony Awards’ Best Musical for 2011, has an 11-performance engagement at the Orpheum Theater on May 31 to June 5, 2016.
From the duo that created South Park, The Book of Mormon is a hilarious satire of traditional musical theater and organized religion. It follows the adventures and misadventures of two Mormon missionaries assigned to evangelize in a Ugandan village where a local warlord reigns. The Book of Mormon has been hailed by Entertainment Weekly and Vogue as the funniest musical in theater history.
